Cebu Executive Runners Club

Last Friday (Jan. 4) at the Casino Espanol, the group of men and women who love the sport of running held their annual party and Induction Ceremony. The Cebu Executive Runners Club boasts of several members who’ve finished the full 42-K Marathon. Here are the pictures sent to me by one of the group’s pioneers, Dr. Vic Verallo.

Yes, he’s a runner, but no, he’s not running in the 2010 elections: JESSE TABORADA, the President of the Cebu Executive Runners Club

  2. Hi Geraldine,

I’m not a pro, just a weekend or bi-weekly running enthusiast but I’m joining the 21k. My goal is to finish. I just hope there’s no time limit. Hahaha!

I already registered with trembling hands and legs, haha!

See you at the race 🙂

  3. Mj “roadrunner” is ready to run this coming SAturday Jan. 19,2008 Sinulog Half Marathon. Well I’m back the unknown runner a student at USPF… THanx po for making this event happen.

  4. Hi Cebu runners. Interested to join the 22nd Mt. Kinabalu International Climbathon? Contact [email protected]. It’s a 21k race with 9k uphill and 12k downhill. That will be on Aug.23-24 in Sabah, Malaysia.
The Pasig River marathon will change route starting from Marikina to Luneta. This is the rumor circulating around. I think it’s better route, sparing us the tremendous heat along C5. There will be a dry run on Feb. 17, 2008.

  5. Hi Cebu Runners!

I’m interested in doing a long run or two or three when I come visit Cebu in early July 2008.

I am a marathon enthusiast, and I do a lot of races in the US. I’m happy to see that marathoning has gained a foothold in my old home city, as my early morning jogs into Fuente Osmena are never far from my mind when I do endurance races.

It would be great if I can run with your group. Please send me an email if this is a possibility. Congratulations on the induction of new members into the club!

not all runners are pro.if you wish to run for 21k,all you need is practice.dont force yourself!!

  7. CONGRATULATIONS to the organizers/directors for a very successful Cebu Marathon 2010! I took part in this historical event and ranked 77th among male finishers of the 21k category based on my chip time posted on the website. It is already a feat for me since I only “trained” for 2 weeks prior. Half of me is happy while the other half is sad because I believed my complete name was not properly entered into the database. I am sure that I legibly wrote my name in the registration form. So now, with the omission(s), I can not own the accomplishment. It also happened to me during the ABS-CBN Kapamilya Run last year. I am looking forward to next year’s edition though and hope that it will not happen to me again. After all, we are all proud of our given names and seeing them being linked to certain degrees of accomplishments makes it more memorable.

    cheers

P.S. It would really be something for me if the database entry can be rectified. Daghang salamat.
