I've been a sports columnist since 1994. First, in The Freeman newspaper under "Tennis Is My Game." Then, starting in 2003, with Sun.Star Cebu under the name "Match Point." Happy reading!

  1. he’s not the greatest. just happened he won becuase Soderling is not really that good compared to Nadal. Rafa was injured when he played Soderling so he lost. let’s see what happen next year if rafa and roger meet again in court…what do you think..

  2. I think Roger’s the greatest. Before him, there were only two considered as the best ever: Rod Laver and Pete Sampras.

With his French Open victory, Roger completes all four Grand Slam titles (something Pete never did, perennially losing at Roland Garros) and he wins his 14th major crown (Laver only had 11).

    And RF’s only 27…..
